A New School Year

Welcome back to a new school year!

The Central Murray Regional Waste Management Group are busy preparing for the year ahead which will see us take our new education campaign Kerbside Pride: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle to Central Murray schools!

A number of schools have booked in for our fun and interactive presentations on waste and recycling that get all the kids involved in discussion, as well as games like the ‘Recycle Relay’.

As well as providing fun and educational presentations, we also facilitate the Kerbside Pride school program that begins with a Waste Assessment, which informs a Waste Action Plan specific to the school.

Taking a school through this process, and providing resources such as bin stickers, VISY paper recycling boxes and worm farms, has proved an excellent way to help schools achieve their goals in waste minimisation.

We are really looking forward to working with the young people of the Central Murray region who never cease to amaze us with their commitment to their environment and the 3R’s – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

Looks like a great year ahead!
