Expression of interest for the Loddon Mallee Waste and Resource Recovery Group – Board Director 2019

Expressions of interest for the appointment of two board directors to Victoria’s Waste and Resource Recovery Groups are now open. One of these vacancies is with the Loddon Mallee Waste and Resource Recovery Group and the other with the Gippsland Waste and Resource Recovery Group.

Victoria’s seven Waste and Resource Recovery Groups report to the Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change. The Waste and Resource Recovery Groups are responsible for waste and resource recovery infrastructure planning, have a facilitative role in procurement of waste management facilities and waste and resource recovery services, deliver education programs and waste and resource recovery projects.

In addition to mandatory skills outlined in the position description, general areas of skills or experience that would be considered favourably include:

  • strategic thinker
  • community and stakeholder management
  • knowledge of circular economy

Board experience is desirable but not essential for the right candidate who can demonstrate the skills specified in the position description.
