Kerbside Pride Business

Kerbside Pride Businesses is a two year certification process that helps businesses to manage their waste more effectively.

By introducing recycling measures and helping them to identify other ways of reducing waste, businesses will reduce both the amount of waste going to landfill and their expenditure.

The LMWRRG supports businesses through the program with a range of tools:

  • A member of the LMWRRG will visit your business, perform a waste assessment and provide ongoing support. The assessment of waste streams and costs within your organisation sets a baseline and helps to identify the opportunities and priorities.
  • The LMWRRG will then work with you to develop a Waste Action Plan. This is a working document that provides a record of what you will undertake as part of your commitment to effectively manage and minimise waste and maximise the efficient use of resources.
  • The Group will provide resources and tools up to the value of $1,000 to support the implementation of your Action Plan (funding is limited and subject to conditions), guidance and support as well as performing an annual assessment of the businesses waste management.
  • The Group endeavours to link the business to experts where the topic/query is outside the Project Officers field of knowledge.
